Tom & Shirley's Page -- 2004 Italy Trip
	In early fall of 2004 we got to sample a bit of Italy with our friends. Starting off in Rome for a week, Shirl and I shared an apartment located in the old Jewish Quarter with Bonnie and Rollie. Tom and Nancy's apartment was just across the Tiber in the Travestere. We found Rome alive, exiting and too full of history to absorb in only a week. Leaving Rome we hooked up with Barb, a friend of Tom and Nancy's who then accompanied us on the rest of the trip.
	On to Tuscany where we rented a great old villa near Castellina for most of a week. The place was awesome; a working vineyard, 4 bedrooms, full kitchen, fireplace, secluded and even had a pool. The views were spectacular. We loved our Tuscan experience, especially exploring the quaint hill towns that dot the region.
	Our trip ended with a 3-night stay in the Cinque Terre. Here our apartment was built into the cliffs of Vernazza, right above the water. Again, another awesome place with beautiful scenery, challenging trails and magnificent sunsets.
	We couldn't pick one area over the other as all were great in their own special way!
